The first time I tried Metallic-734 Tangerine, I swatched it on my hand with my finger. Love at first sight is not something I've experienced before with a human, but I got pretty damn close with this eye shadow. Some of the matte and satin shades are more sheer than the metallics, but you can easily amplify their look by wetting your brush before you apply them. I spritz mine with a dewy setting spray to give the shadow added dimension. The Artist Color Eye Shadows are also some of the most smudge-proof powdered shadows I’ve ever used. The formula locks onto the skin, so you don’t have to worry about relying on a primer. Once, while wearing one of these shadows, I rubbed my eyes and worried I had ruined my look; but when my friend told me it hadn't budged, I was again shocked by the shadow. For that look, I used just one shade in the center of my lids to create a reverse highlighting effect.
