The One Show presenter Alex Jones was overcome with emotion after speaking to members of the public about Queen Elizabeth II’s legacy.
Many, including the Duchess of Sussex, were left in tears by the moving scenes taking place inDuring Monday’s special episode titled Our Queen Remembered, the 45-year-old presenter and co-host Gethin Jones, toured across the UK to discuss the late monarch with members of the public.
Alex, however, was particularly moved after speaking to one man who branded the loss as heartbreaking.The presenter was moved by the mourner’s words He continued: ‘Still, you know what they say. The Queen has died, so long live the King.’‘I’ll tell you what, speaking to that last gentleman nearly broke my heart,’ she told Gethin.
