Nicknamed"Mando" by his criminal associates, the Mandalorian was hired to seek out The Child and bring the valuable asset back to his client. After rescuing the Child, the Mandalorian soon became a potential target for other hunters as a bounty was placed on his own head.
The show was one of the new streaming platform's first breakaway hits, with The Child itself quickly becoming a part of the American zeitgeist. It's no small wonder that Favreau and his team leapt at the chance to share the world they spent so long creating in a more in depth way with this docu-series.
