Vodacom South Africa chief executive Sitho Mdlalose has led the company for two years, ensuring its continued success and leadership position.

Under Mdlalose’s leadership, Vodacom showed strong growth, became the leader in 5G connectivity, and was named South Africa’s most reliable network.

Revenue from these services was up 11.2% over the last year and contributed R10.2 billion, or 16.6% of South Africa’s service revenue.Vodacom South Africa continued to pump billions into its network, now boasting 99% 4G population coverage and increasing the number of 5G sites to 2,300. “We want to enable more citizens access to the benefits of connectivity and help bridge the digital divide,” he said.

Vodacom outperformed most of its competitors in South Africa, which showed that the company is in good hands.Mdlalose attended the University of South Africa, where he received a Bachelor of Accountancy in 2002. “Joining Vodacom in the United Kingdom was the start of an exciting career and chapter in my life,” Mdlalose said in an interview.
