The category had already become “an unstoppable force,” said Nielsen – withduring the 52 weeks ending June 13, 2020, the data company reported – and store shelves were brimming with both macro and craft options.
In March, Dry Dock debuted three ready-to-drink beverages called Docktails including a paloma, a strawberry-basil daiquiri and a cucumber margarita in hopes of addressing the aforementioned trends in beer sales and increased competition from other breweries that pivoted to and relied on package sales throughout the pandemic.
