The Jam legend Bruce Foxton has been forced to leave his band due to health reasons after he was rushed to hospital and had to undergo an 'immediate procedure'.
The Jam legend Bruce Foxton has announced that he's stepping down from performing with his band due to health issues.
Foxton also conveyed his hopes to return to the stage, stating, "That time has now come so I wish the band continued success until I return and with God's will I will see you all in the not too distant future on the 'Setting Sons' 45th anniversary tour. Much love and respect, Bruce." He confessed: "I've had tinnitus for years now and I have actually succumbed to wearing a hearing aid occasionally. Back in the days of The Jam, we were a three-piece and we needed to play at full volume to sound as loud as we could.
The Jam hit the charts with every one of their 18 singles and seven albums but split up suddenly in 1982 when lead singer Paul Weller decided to move on after just five years at the top. Bassist Bruce Foxton joined Stiff Little Fingers and later set up tribute act From The Jam, reliving the group's glory days regularly over the past ten years.
"After about the fourth time of asking, I get too embarrassed to ask again so I become a bit of an introvert. But having the hearing aid is great, although it will never be as good as my original hearing."
