The Hedge Knight cast for the upcoming Game of Thrones spin-off has grown, as actors have been cast for the story's two main characters.
has reported that the series’ primary duo of characters — Ser Duncan the Tall and his squire Egg — have officially been cast. The outlet revealed that Peter Claffey will be playing Ser Duncan, while Dexter Sol Ansell will be playing Egg.
Claffey has starred in the television series Wreck and appeared in the shows Harry Wild and Bad Sisters. On the other hand, has Ansell appeared in series like Emmerdale and The Midwich Cuckoos as well as last year’s Hunger Games prequel film A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms: The Hedge Knight is based on the Martin’s Dunk and Egg novella. The short tale centers on Ser Duncan the Tall and Aegon V Targaryen , set a hundred years before the events of the main series.“A century before the events of Game of Thrones, two unlikely heroes wandered Westeros . . . a young, naïve but courageous knight, Ser Duncan the Tall, and his diminutive squire, Egg,” reads the series’ logline.
