Gales tells the Star he sees AWS’s work with MLSE, including SportsX, “as a real win for sports fans. “Together we’re creating new, innovative digital solutions to enhance team performance and the fan experience.” Perhaps one day it will feature actual Raptors players and other NBA stars, but this was more of a technical demo to show what’s possible.
Rather than seeing the players, however, teams were represented by circular photos of each player, but each one “skating” up and down the ice, tied to sensors in the players’ jerseys to accurately capture and display the movement. .
