Spider-Man: No Way Home was all about preventing multiversal chaos from getting out of hand, while it's already too late for The Flash.
While The Flash will be a similar multiversal epic to Marvel's Spider-Man: No Way Home, the upcoming DC movie from Warner Bros. will have much larger and far-reaching consequences. Mirroring the Flashpoint event from the original comics, Barry Allen will attempt to save his mother in the past, an act which inadvertently changes the entire timeline and leads to a collision of worlds within the DC multiverse.
SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY It's already been confirmed that The Flash will feature two different Barry Allens as well as two different versions of Batman, one played by Ben Affleck and the other by Michael Keaton from the Batman movies directed by Tim Burton. As such, the comparisons to Spider-Man: No Way Home have already begun seeing how the MCU's Peter Parker joined forces with Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire's respective takes on the iconic Wallcrawler.
In comparison, The Flash's similar mistake will cause a complete collision of worlds which Barry will try to reverse with his new allies. Assuming The Flash follows the basic storyline of Flashpoint, Barry will also have to make a sacrifice by allowing his mother to die as she's meant to. However, the DC Universe isn't completely restored back to how it was.
The Flash Is About Resetting The DC Universe Both Spider-Man: No Way Home and The Flash have multiple variants of the same hero coming together while dealing with the consequences of the main hero's attempt to change their reality.
