The first trailer for 'A Quiet Place Part II' is here
Two years ago, John Krasinski’s modestly-budgeted monster movie, A Quiet Place, made some serious noise at the box office, grossing nearly $200 million in the U.S. alone. This March, Krasinski is bringing scary back with A Quiet Place Part II, which follows the members of the Abbott family — those that survived the first movie anyway — as they search for a new safe haven from the sound-hungry alien invaders that besieged their farm.
One thing that hasn’t changed is the need for silence when the characters are out and about in the open wilderness. The first film was deservedly acclaimed for relying on visuals, rather than dialogue, to deliver exposition — and scares — and Krasinski appears to be sticking to that playbook for the second chapter. He’s also concocted fresh ways to torture his leading lady, and real-life wife, after subjecting her to an intense bathtub birth scene the first time around.
