Summary Director Antoine Fuqua is closing the book on Robert McCall with The Equalizer 3, which sees Denzel Washington return once more as the retired government assassin. Based on the CBS series from the '80s, the movies follow McCall as he struggles to put aside the life he's previously led while still protecting the innocents he encounters.
Antoine Fuqua: Richard Wenk wrote a great script. We talked a lot about it. We talked a lot about it in Equalizer 2. During breaks, we discussed these things, and it was really about finding a home for Robert McCall. Antoine Fuqua: It was an amazing experience. Amazing experience. Learning the language; learning the people. I mean, I've been there several times, but this is a whole different way because I was immersed there for six months. I was in Rome, Amalfi, and Naples, so I was getting a taste of the different flavors of Italy and all that. So, an incredible experience. Just an incredible experience.
