Jack Hulse is no stranger to the justice system
A prolific drug dealer who sold heroin and crack on the streets of Preston has been jailed for three years and nine months.
Hulse, who is from the Wirral, has previously been caught dealing class A drugs on two separate occasions. However, as the second conviction came after his arrest for the offences in June, he avoided being classed as a third strike dealer.District judge Richard Clews, sentencing, said Hulse had "quite a lot of drugs and a fair amount of money" when he was caught in Preston. "It is obvious you were supplying at a reasonably high street level", he said.
"One argument is that although the chronology doesn't allow for that, some might say that is still the sentence you deserve. However it is not the sentence you are going to receive. The sentence does have to be substantial."
