The dazzling gowns of Fiesta’s Order of the Alamo Coronation 2022
of the Queen of the Order of Alamo, held Wednesday night at the Majestic Theatre. Mistress of the Robes Alicia Brusenhan was the guiding force behind this year’s court theme, but several San Antonio dressmakers worked to make the vision come to life.
This year’s gowns and famously long trains honor several of the traditional stops on the tour, and the buildings and crafts for which those stops are known. Designs pay homage to everything from the Alhambra in Spain and the watches of Geneva, Switzerland, to London’s Westminster Abbey and Italy’s famed glassmakers.
Queen of The Court of the Grand Tour Ian Parker Brusenhan, the Mistress of the Robes’ daughter, was attended by Princess Marguerite Holton Stewart and 24 duchesses from San Antonio and elsewhere.
