Director Albert Hughes discusses Charon's fate.
Summary SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT The Continental director Albert Hughes reveals that he was not informed about Charon's fate in John Wick: Chapter 4 prior to filming. Set in the 1970s, the prequel series follows a young Winston Scott as he gets involved in New York City's dangerous underground world.
I didn’t know until I saw it. I’d heard some murmur, I think, but I didn’t know. In the version I saw, he got killed quite early, and in the version that was released, I think they extended some stuff. It still happens early, but it definitely brought more weight. So our cuts were pretty much locked when I saw it. I think I had just turned in the third episode, so I didn’t know about it. None of the producers told us. Chad didn’t tell me. And I went, 'Wow. Well, this is interesting.
