Warner Bros. has had a lot of success with James Wan's Conjuring universe, releasing three mainline Conjuring movies and spinoffs surrounding Annabelle and the demon nun named Valek. Not all of the movies have been critical hits, but all of the films have earned the studio a significant profit.
The first film is based on a true story, focusing on one of Ed and Lorraine Warren's most famous case files. The Perron family is the subject of The Conjuring, who experience terrifying events after moving into a farmhouse in Rhode Island in the early '70s.
Nuñez fulfilled the Heinzens' requirements, which included continuing to use the house as a business rather than actually living in it. The buyer says she doesn't think the house is actually home to a demon like in The Conjuring, but says,"This is a very personal purchase for me. When it hit the market, I thought 'This is a property that enables people to speak to the dead.
Thankfully, Nuñez seems to have good intentions with her recent purchase, welcoming people who believe in the supernatural rather than trying to make a quick buck off of the house's notoriety. While some of the offers likely came from horror fans, it doesn't seem like The Conjuring franchise had any influence in her decision to purchase the home.
