The cheapest and most expensive areas to buy a house in Greater Manchester have now been revealed. The latest average house prices have been released by the Land Registry, showing how much you can expect to pay for a home across the region's 10 boroughs.
Our exclusive analysis shows that Little Hulton is the cheapest place to buy a home in Greater Manchester. Homes in the M38 postcode area sold for an average of £149,559 each in the last 12 months to the end of June. Bardsley is the next most affordable area to buy a home in our region, with houses selling for £156,090 each on average in the OL8 postcode area. That’s followed by OL1 where an average home sold for £165,666, BL4 with an average house price of £170,224 and WN2 with an average cost of £173,077.The most expensive area to buy a home is Altrincham, which has the highest average sale price of any postcode area in Greater Manchester over the last 12 months.
The WA14 area was the next most expensive place to buy a home in our region, where the average home sold for an average of £542,878 over the last year last year. That’s followed by SK7 with an average house price of £427,926, M21 where the average home sold for £423,154 and M33 with an average cost of £410,976.
