Malcolm, a teacher from Dumfries and Galloway, took on the Chaser this evening
Viewers of The Chase were left less than amused during Wednesday's show as they felt the questions were too "easy". Host Bradley Walsh was joined by four contestants from across the UK.
And Bradley wanted to know what he would do with any cash that he won, to which he replied: "I used to be a rugby player and I've also coached rugby in some of the schools I've worked in. I would love to use the money to go over to South Africa to watch the British Lions next season." The trio managed to bank £16,000 as they headed into the final chase. But they were not able to bring home the money, as brainbox Jenny caught the team with 29 seconds remaining.
