It was a huge celebration when the Yarmouth Mariners brought the 2023 MHL Metalfab Cup home to Yarmouth on April 22, after winning the game with a 5-1 win over the Edmundston Blizzard in Game 4 the night before in New Brunswick. The Mariners said this wasn’t just a team championship – but a community championship too.Without billet families there could be no junior hockey program in communities. This holds true in Yarmouth.
