Scots actor George Rossi, who was best known for his role in police drama The Bill, has left behind a fortune of £8million in his will.

Glasgow-born George was just 60-years-old when he sadly died after a battle with pancreatic cancer, leaving his estate to his wife Catrin, 56, as he named her as one of his executors alongside their daughter Matilda, 26, and son Santino, 24.After his death, George's niece, Louisa Rossi, who shared the sad news with the world, saying: "Unfortunately George Rossi who played DC Duncan Lennox passed away the morning of Wednesday 5th January 2022.

She said that George's role in The Bill saw him become a "firm favourite" among fans, adding that "he will always be remembered for portraying one of the most popular faces on The Bill in the late nineties".
