Thanks to mobile phones, it’s no longer necessary to lug a professional camera around in order to snap frame-worthy photos . Now, we all are photographers. And thanks to technology, you no longer need a pack of scrapbooking supplies or a binder of plastic sleeves to create a beautiful photo book of your memories.
The colors across the two books were very subtly different and leaning on the warmer side, but were still crisp and comparably accurate to the source files. Photographer Derek Reed tells us that color accuracy with all of these services have the potential to be hit or miss: “It all just depends upon who’s operating the press that day.”
The basic hardcover book looks almost identical to ones we ordered from Walmart and Shutterfly, but the paper seems to be a touch heavier and therefore less likely to tear than the Walmart book and had fewer quality control issues than the Shutterfly book. This said, we saw a small dent in the top corner of the book near its binding.Lengthy shipping time
You can order a swatch kit to see the paper and cover options up close before ordering, which is a rare perk. However, because the company is Australian, you will be in for a long wait if you are ordering from the United States. While the baseline shipping cost isn’t high , it took our book 17 days to arrive. But if you are looking for top quality, the wait is definitely worth it.
