Brits list the top 10 people you 'must' have in your contact list to make jobs easier - including electricians and Gas Safe engineers
It really is ‘who you know’ – as Brits reckon the best people to have in their phone books are a plumber, an electrician and a gas engineer.
Spokesperson Rob Denman said: “There’s the famous saying ‘it’s not what you know but who you know’ and that seems to be borne out by these results. It’s really important to have trust in the tradesperson you hire. One of the things you can do to help instill that trust and ensure your job is being done to a proper standard is to check they are fully registered or accredited and have the certification to prove it.
It also emerged the top attribute of a good tradesperson is considered to be reliability , followed by trustworthiness and qualifications . With a gas safe engineer considered the most trusted tradesperson, with 25 per cent of the vote.
