Picture the scene: it’s a balmy summer’s evening, you’re sipping on a cocktail and the sun is setting over the sea. This is exactly the kind of holiday experience you’d expect in Spain or Greece, but this summer you can enjoy just that much closer to home.
At the heart of the space between Crosby Lakeside and the beach is a bright blue double decker bus, which serves everything from coffee to cocktails, while there’s also street food and live music on offer. Last year, the business secured a three-year agreement with Sefton Council to open for six months between April and September and returned last week for its 2023 stint.
Visitors to the Bus Yard can expect a few changes this year, including a booth container with miniature chalets and a cabana for extra shelter. Andy said: "The vibe up there is absolutely amazing. People like it; it's like being abroad at home."
