“If someone gets caught in the water with those sharp pieces of cement and the rebar thing, [they] could get very seriously hurt,” University of Hawaii at Manoa’s school of earth science and technology interim dean Chip Fletcher told Hawaii News Now. “Not to mention the beachgoers that are walking back and forth.”
