The Asus ROG Ally is better than the Steam Deck in nearly every way, but these few issues could hold it back

A BIOS update could help mitigate this problem if Asus chooses to release one after launch. But overheating in general, especially when it’s severe enough, can cause absolute mayhem on components and shorten their lifespan.

Gamers have proven in the past that no matter how powerful a system is, if the price is too much it will have a very limited audience willing or able to pay.
