Morgan Elsbeth and her crew of mercenaries have successfully completed the pathway to Periidea, and the extragalactic planet has more to offer than just the long-lost Grand Admiral Thrawn and Ezra Bridger.
Ahsoka Episode 6 Secretly Confirmed The Nightsisters Were Ruled By The Zeffo The Nightsisters have been operating from a temple on Peridea, and the runes on this temple bear a strong connection to an alien race called the Zeffo. First introduced in Jedi: Fallen Order, the ancient species had the ability to wield the Force and eventually corrupted themselves enough to fall to the dark side.
Either way, it's clear that the Zeffo have traveled intergalactically, and that they ruled the Nightsisters on their original homeworld. Their influence could have spread to even more planets in this galaxy, just as it did to the planets of the more familiar one. Their power surely could have secured them an empire of sorts that spread between galaxies, and this could very well be the "beginning" of the cycle of light versus dark that Baylan is seeking on Peridea.
