The 2024 Kia EV9 will have a range between 260 and 300 miles, and will be able to charge from 10 to 80 percent in under 25 minutes.
While this is the first mainstream three-row all-electric SUV, it's not the first dedicated Kia EV.shook the world apart thanks to its fantastic range, ultra-fast charging capacity, and roomy interior. The EV9 is following suit, as Kia says it will have a range of up to 300 miles on a single charge. This figure is for those models equipped with the larger 99.8-kWh battery pack and smaller 19-inch wheels. We expect that those models with the smaller 76.
Like the EV6, the EV9 will have ultra-quick charging technology. Thanks to its standard 800V electrical architecture—a key distinction of its E-GMP platform—Kia estimates the three-row electric SUV will charge from 10 to 80 percent in under 25 minutes using a 230-kWh Level 3 charger. Those times are a little higher than the smaller EV6, but if our experience with the EV6 serves as proof, we have no doubt we'll see the numbers Kia claims for the EV9.
The 2024 Kia EV9 will be the first all-electric Kia to be built on U.S. soil, and the automaker expects the first units to roll out of its West Point, Georgia factory starting in 2024. However, we'll be getting the first units from Korea in the third quarter of this year.Trending Pages
