The 2022 FIFA World Cup to be streamed in 4K on Showmax Pro
The 4K streams will use up to 90MB per minute and will have double the standard resolution the service normally offers.
The 2022 FIFA World Cup is set to begin on Sunday 20th November in Qatar. The nearly month-long affair is the biggest event in world football and South African diski fans will no doubt be looking for ways to tune in. “Now we are gearing up for the world’s greatest sports spectacle, which deserves to be seen in the best quality possible, so we’re delighted to introduce 4K for the first time during the FIFA World Cup Qatar.”
Showmax Pro makes a point to remind viewers that those that don’t have 4K-ready devices can still choose the data streaming option that suits them.
