Which is why its so flabbergasting to see the despot relaxing in a chair instead of a throne. Darkseid’s tendency to make himself comfortable is a running gag in the DC Universe that many writers and artists have played with. Presenting a villain who wants the complete and utter control of every living thing lounging about on a couch or recliner is a delightful juxtaposition.
6 "I'm the G*ddamn Batman" Batman has been accused of treating Robin poorly before, but All-Star Batman and Robin took that criticism to a new extreme. While spiriting a traumatized Dick Grayson away to the Batcave, the young man asks the hero who he is, leading to the infamous line “I’m the g*ddamn Batman”. This one line took on a life of its own outside the series, with internet users everywhere getting a kick out of it.
3 Doctor Manhattan is Tired of This Earth Watchmen’s Doctor Manhattan has recently taken on a new life in the meme world. Watchmen #4 sees Jon Osterman alone on Mars reflecting on the life he’s lived, now fully detached from humanity. Readers may recall seeing a meme of the superhuman with the caption “I am tired of this Earth. These people. I am tired of being caught in the tangle of their lives”.
