BREAKING: That ’70s Show actor Danny Masterson has been found guilty on two criminal counts in his sexual assault retrial.
All three women were members of the church at the time and Masterson remains one.claimed Masterson was found guilty of two counts of forcible rape. The jury was deadlocked on a third rape charge and did not reach a verdict.
This was the second trial for the 47-year-old actor and prosecutors said Scientology officials protected Masterson for years after he drugged and sexually assaulted the women.He is best known for his role of Steven Hyde on That 70s Show The women, who were also Scientologists, testified that the church barred them from making reports to police.
Jurors deliberated for 8 days before returning their verdict. The original trial ended on November 30 2022, with the jury deadlocked on all counts after extended deliberations, which had to be restarted when two jurors got COVID.Masterson is married to Bijou Phillips Masterson, who shares an eight-year-old daughter with wife Bijou Phillips, was initially accused of sexual assault in 2017, which he denied at the time as ‘outrageous allegations’.
