BANGKOK, Oct 28 - Thailand's current policy rate is appropriate for the economy, but the central bank is ready to make "adjustments" if needed, the bank's governor said as he warned of increased global risks and concerns over the Middle East
The central bank's growth forecast of 4.4% for 2024 will be revised if there is any change in the government's stimulus plan, he added. "A new factor that I'm quite wary about is Middle East problems as evaluating the impact of this risk is very difficult," he said, but added that the current policy rate is appropriate.
