BANGKOK – Thailand’s Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha said he will dissolve the Parliament in March to pave the way for the next general election that is tentatively slated for May.

Mr Prayut informed the Cabinet in a meeting on Tuesday of his intention to dissolve the house next month, the Prime Minister told reporters, without giving a specific date for disbanding the House of Representatives.When asked by reporters if it will happen in early March, Mr Prayut said “something like that”. He also said the next general election is slated to take place on May 7. B
