Call it a “Sign of the Times” – a Harry Styles course is coming to Texas State University.

in Austin, is called “Harry Styles and the Cult of Celebrity: Identity, the Internet, and European Pop Culture.”about the course on Saturday, gaining traction among the British musician's following.Valencia told KXAN he is a fan himself, since Styles’ beginnings in One Direction. And according to his biography on the Texas State University website, he is also working on a book about Styles, online fandoms and masculinity.
Styles has become a fashion icon in his own right. He’s known for wearing sequined tops, jumpsuits and the occasional dress for magazine spreads and performances. He is also a vocal ally of the LGBT community. “As an historian, I want the class to get to really see how the world has changed in the last 12 years or so, but also how to put that into historical context, through the lens of Harry Styles, and how they can learn from him and his art, activism and philosophy, like any great artist,” Valencia said in an interview with the TV station.The course will be offered at the San Marcos school in spring 2023.
