Texas Space Commission names South Texas-native Norman Garza Jr. as its first executive director

The Texas Space Commission has named South Texas native Norman Garza Jr. to be its first executive director. In the role, he’ll be responsible for executive oversight of the newly formed commission, which is receiving $350 million in state funding to promote innovation in civil, commercial and military aerospace activity.
