Texas man who filmed himself licking Blue Bell ice cream inside Walmart store jailed

D'Adrien Anderson appeared to be making a copycat video of similar ice cream licking incidents.

On 3/5/20 at 7:50 AM ESTA Texas man who filmed himself licking an ice cream tub in Walmart before putting it back in the freezer has been jailed for 30 days.

Anderson pleaded guilty to a class A misdemeanor charge of criminal mischief in January as a result of his video which he posted onto Facebook. The clip has since been viewed more than 170,000 times. Port Arthur police confirmed Anderson did show officers a receipt as proof he purchased the ice cream.

"Anderson's actions caused public concerns about the safety and quality of consumer products offered for public consumption, impacted Blue Bell consumer confidence and caused the company financial loss. This type of activity will not be tolerated," the statement added.
