PUBLISHED 9:00 AM CDT Oct. 15, 2022LLANO, Texas — Just off State Highway 16, about 10 miles from Llano, Texas, sits the Baby Head Cemetery. Some of the old gravestones have been toppled and weathered by time. The cemetery’s name is just as haunting as the story behind it. According to legend, a group of Native Americans killed a small child back in the 1800s. The community, including the cemetery, later adopted the name Baby Head.
There was even a school named Baby Head. The community eventually disappeared and all that’s left is the cemetery, which includes the grave of another child.
