“We needed to come down a little bit,” Texas interim coach Rodney Terry said. “A lot of times when we settle down and put the ball inside, it kind of calms us down. We get our cutters moving, get the ball moving a little bit more in terms of playing through the post a little bit. Playing through Timmy, dropping the ball inside was really big for us.”
The Longhorns struggled to break down TCU on the perimeter. When they did manage to dip a toe into the lane, there were typically a few long-limbed deterrents waiting to affect the shot.
