Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton is opening an investigation into Spirit AeroSystems Holdings, Inc., which is a parts supplier for Boeing.
In a statement, Paxton said in part that he intends to hold companies responsible should they fail to maintain the standards required by law.
One incident that sparked scrutiny into Boeing happened in January when a door plug blew off an Alaska Airlines 737 Max-9 plane mid-flight, leaving a hole in the fuselage.Boeing CEO to step down after series of high-profile safety issues
