The biggest name at the conference is yet to come, with former President Donald Trump closing out the event on Saturday evening.
Paxton is up for reelection this November. He beat out rival George P. Bush in the primary, and will face Democrat Rochelle Garza in the general election.The attorney general also touted his record of suing the President Joe Biden’s administration,Paxton told the audience at CPAC he has sued the Biden Administration 31 times, 11 of those lawsuits over immigration.
Paxton is also challenging guidance from the Department of Health and Human Services that requires hospitals to provide abortions in emergency circumstances. He claims this guidance would Paxton argued he sues the administration when the president is overstepping the bounds of executive power.In This Story
