Tesla has introduced new sport seats for the Model S Plaid, offering better lateral support and increased grip for improved performance during high-speed corners.
The Tesla Model S Plaid gains new sport seats as standard. Heavier bolsters and suede trim help keep occupants in place through high G corners. The new sport seats are still heated, ventilated, and 12-way power-adjustable. While the insane performance of the Tesla Model S Plaid has never been doubted, it didn't always have the features to match the powertrain's impressive abilities.
99 seconds, has a 200 mph top speed, and has lapped the Nurburgring in around the same time as a Ferrari Enzo. Teslarati reports that Sport Seats have been installed in all examples of the Plaid built since April 1. The seats are no doubt a welcome addition to the fastest Tesla on sale, which critics have previously pointed out lacks some performance features to match its immense power. For instance, the car was criticized for not having adequate brakes for track day driving.
