Tesla China decided to release a 'cyber spoon' at local McDonald's locations and Elon Musk, who didn't know about it, called it fake news
has launched some odd products in the past but a new ‘Cyber Spoon’ had even the CEO himself in disbelief. As part of a promotion with McDonald’s in China, the company is selling each spoon for $4 during a limited run that will see no more than 50,000 units made. The real question is whether or not this is actually the dumbest product Tesla has ever made.
Noticed first by Sawyer Merritt on Twitter/X, the spoon is specifically linked to the McFlurry desert and is vaguely shaped like half of aElon Musk, who follows Merritt, shot back a simple comment about the finding that simply said “Fake news afaik.” “As far as I know” is a telling piece of the puzzle there.
While Musk seems to micro-manage some parts of production and business, apparently he was totally out of the loop on this one. In fact, Merritt replied to Musk that Tesla’s official Weibo account had also promoted the Cyber Spoon.It's real Elon. Tesla's official Weibo account is promoting it.
