Even so: “It was certainly not something I would have rushed to brief up the prime minister on,” Morrison said, describing the assessment as “an information memo, not an action memo.” He added: “There is a ‘nice to know’ and ‘need to know’ tradeoff that isn’t always apparent” in reports a national security adviser receives.
