A teen died Wednesday after he was found with a gunshot injury near the high school he attends in Terrell, officials said.
Shortly before 8:15 a.m., officers were notified of a “male subject,” later identified as Damaria Jackson, 17, on the ground near the corner of Trailview Drive and Town North Drive, police said in a news release. The intersection is about a mile away from Terrell High School. Terrell is located about 32 miles east of downtown Dallas.Emergency crews performed life saving measures on Jackson before he was taken to a hospital, where he later died, police said.
