Residents of Terrace are preparing for a surge of summer heat as Environment Canada forecasts a wave of high temperatures for the region.
The heat wave will kick off Thursday with temperatures expected to hit a high of 27 degrees Celsius, the humidex making it feel closer to 29. The weather will clear up in the morning, with wind from the south picking up to 20 km/h in the afternoon. The evening promises to be mild, with a few clouds in the sky and wind speeds dropping off to a gentle breeze. The low for Thursday night is forecast to be 12 degrees.As the weekend approaches, the mercury will continue to rise.
