Ten of the 12 accused in the University of Fort Hare case, who appeared at the Dimbaza Magistrate's Court on Thursday, were released on bail R50 000 each. They are charged with defrauding the university of R171 million.The Dimbaza Magistrate’s Court in the Eastern Cape granted bail of R50 000 each to 10 of the 12 accused in the University of Fort Hare fraud and corruption case on Thursday afternoon.
Magistrate Nkosinathi Mjekula's set bail conditions that the accused had to hand over their passports to the investigating officer and report to their nearest police stations every Wednesday.
