A 16-year-old boy has been taken to hospital
after being stabbed in Nottingham. The incident happened in Beckley Road, Broxtowe at around 5pm on Sunday, May 14.
The teenager's injuries are not thought to be life-threatening, police said. A cordon was put in place in Coleby Road between Beckley Road and Fenwick Road. Detective Sergeant Sarah Gregg, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “We were alerted to a report of a 16-year-old boy being stabbed in Beckley Road at around 5pm, yesterday . Officers were quickly on scene and the boy was taken to hospital to be treated for his injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening.
“We are continuing to trawl CCTV in the area and speak with witnesses – but are asking anyone who may have been around the Beckley Road and Coleby Road area yesterday afternoon to get in touch with us. I would like to make clear that we do not believe there to be a wider risk to the public.” Anyone with any knowledge of what happened, or CCTV footage is asked to call 101, quoting incident number 495 of 14 May 2023, or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
