The customer would repeatedly attempt to get free items while the 17-year-old employee tried to do her duties

A teenager who worked for Greggs says a "foul" customer drove her to quit her position at the iconic bakery. The 17-year-old claims the man would repeatedly "gaslight" her in an attempt to get free items while she tried to do her duties.

The customer, who would feign that he ordered a different item to what he was served, was said to have had a history of harassing staff at the store, including shouting at workers. He was branded an "absolute freak" by the teenager. "You then started shouting at me demanding my name and demanded I took the screens down and turned the radio off and told me to get my hearing checked, so I shouted at you because you were gaslighting me. I knew that because you do it with the rest of the staff which is disgusting. I'm not sure why you think you're billy big boots and special to everyone else because you're not.

"I don't know how gaslighting two seventeen-year-olds and shouting in the face of one of them makes you feel good about yourself and if it does you're an absolute freak. I am sure you do this to all the rest of the coffee shops too, which is awful.
