A Brighton High School student is recovering from severe injuries after narrowly avoiding a head-on collision with an SUV driving on the wrong side of the road.
Nickolas Jensen, 14, swerved just in time but crashed into a parked car, leaving him with a fractured kneecap, broken nose, loose teeth and a lacerated chin.
This comes on the heels of another traffic accident earlier this week on Ft. Union Blvd., where a child was hit in a crosswalk.Pedestrian killed in hit-and-run crash on Redwood Road, closing northbound traffic The driver of the SUV did not stop at the scene. According to Nickolas, the vehicle was white and might have displayed a Brighton High School parking pass. The family is searching for doorbell camera footage to identify the driver.
