“The first two are my favorites -- and you know Drake and her were on ‘Degrassi,’” he told CTVNews.ca over the phone. “They’re also great songs to dance to.” She grew up in Scarborough, Ont., where Thavaneethan spent his childhood. “It was inspiring to see her act,” he said, adding her success story is a big reason why he wants to become an actor and dancer himself.
