The Ottawa Sun Scramble delivers plenty of sizzle.With some of the best golfers in Ottawa competing, the Scramble will be in the spotlight.

With some of the best golfers in Ottawa playing at courses stretching from Rockland to Renfrew to Gatineau to Kemptville, and plenty in between, over the next week, the Ottawa Sun Scramble will be in the spotlight.The tournament, now in its 19th year, has become about much more than elite golfers.

Because it’s a partner scramble, it is much less intimidating to higher-handicap golfers. Both players hit shots and then take the best of the two, from tee to green. “It’s massive for us, it’s a marquee event,” said Rajhathy. “We took on a PGA Tour Canada event this year, the Commissionaires Ottawa Open. That’s now also a pinnacle event for us. The two events are very different. We have our community supporting international golf professionals coming in to compete over four days of competition. In the Sun Scramble, we’re trying to accomplish the same thing, but it’s for the average golfer.
