The owner of a teddy bear museum in Cornwall has insisted she will fight until the end as tourist attraction faces closure over unpaid rent.

A museum owner has insisted she will fight until the end as she faces shutting the doors for good over unpaid rent.

But director Victoria Edwards has been struggling to pay the rent, in part due to rising costs brought about by theShe’s desperately appealing for Cornwall Council, the landlord, to be more empathetic over her situation. ‘I missed a few rent payments and I’ve been told that if we don’t get the money, we face eviction, so now I’m trying to get the council to hold on for a bit longer so I can get some funding.‘I narrowly missed out on it, so I’m looking for a funding expert to help us write a successful bid and we are appealing to the good nature of Cornwall Council to waive the rent for the two outstanding months.

The museum has also become a community hub, hosting regular knitting groups and a weekly Memory Cafe which supports people with dementia.
